Two groups are available: Group 1 meets on Mondays and Wednesdays; Group 2 meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Swimmers ages 7–11 swim from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., and swimmers ages 12–16 from 5:00–6:00 p.m. on their respective group days. Each session takes place over four weeks.
In order to register, swimmers must first attend an assessment to qualify. The assessment will consist of swimming a pool length unassisted (25 yards), treading water in the deep end for 30 seconds, displaying circle awareness, and knowing all four strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Taking the assessment does not guarantee space in the program.
The next assessment will take place: Tuesday–Thursday, January 31–February 2, 2023. To sign up, click here.
Space in the program is very limited, so schedule an assessment today!
Drayson Center offers team-style training for young people ages 7–16 during the school year. Named Swim to Fit, this program is non-competitive and focuses on developing the four swim strokes—freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Swim sets are designed to improve overall techniques and endurance.
