The Senior Wellness Program, centered at Loma Linda University Drayson Center, held its annual Valentine's Potluck during lunchtime on Friday, February 8. Senior members from Drayson Center, as well as community guests, filled the Student Lounge for tasty food and ample desserts.

A highlight of the morning was the appearance of Milford, alter ego of Doug Mace, paster of middle school ministries at Loma Linda University Church of Seventh-day Adventists.

Milford has entertained numerous audiences over the years with his nerdy humor and flamboyant personality. During the morning, he was able to encourage a large contingent of senior volunteers to join him for a rousing rendition of the "Hokie, Pokie," complete with all of the moves. Mace's entertainment capped another successful party, hosted by the Senior Wellness Party. The Senior Advisory and Planning Committee, organized in 2005, planned the event with the guidance of Bess Getman, events manager and senior wellness coordinator, and William Wright, EdD, senior wellness assistant.

Similar events are held at Drayson Center to celebrate various holidays throughout the year. For more information about senior activities, social events, and fitness classes, visit drayson.llu.edu and select the Senior Wellness page, or Drayson PULSE online.
