The COVID-19 pandemic has proven quite unpredictable and, as new cases of variant strains impact populations around the globe, we may need to make quick adjustments for local fluctuations in cases.
Presently, COVID-19 cases have been trending downward, and Loma Linda University Health (LLUH) has modified COVID safety protocols as of November 1, 2021. Loma Linda University Drayson Center is impacted by LLUH policies and protocols, as well as state and national recommendations and mandates. We will inform you HERE the minute we receive any protocol changes that will impact you as a member.
CURRENTLY, the COVID-19 protocols include the following:
- Fully vaccinated individuals may choose to not wear a mask indoors at LLU Drayson Center. This is a personal choice that should be respected by all members.
- Unvaccinated individuals (including those who have had COVID) are still required to wear a mask indoors as mandated by the California Department of Public Health.
- If you enter LLU Drayson Center without a mask, YOU ATTEST IN GOOD FAITH that you are fully vaccinated.
Though the vast majority of hospitalized cases in the U.S. are unvaccinated individuals, those vaccinated or previously diagnosed with COVID-19 may be infected or reinfected by the virus—as well spread it. In most cases, these individuals experience milder symptoms and are less likely to require hospitalization. However, any COVID case could result in hospitalization or even death—regardless of vaccination or previous infection status.
If you are experiencing ANY COVID-19 symptoms, please DO NOT ENTER LLU Drayson Center. Symptoms include:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion
- Inability to awaken or stay awake
- Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone
Please call your physician or a health-care facility and follow their guidance if you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms. If your symptoms are severe, call 9-1-1.
If you have been in close proximity with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19, please follow all quarrantine protocols recommended by health-care or public health professionals for your situation.
Thank you for honoring the current protocols as we all seek to return to a "new normal" in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
