The third and final Health Expo, as well as "Obesity Prevention" by the School of Public Health department of nutrition, will take place on Thursday, August 22.
Two important events will take place on Thursday, August 22, in Drayson Center's Student Lounge. The first will be the final installment of the Health Expo, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, which has already taken place August 8 and 15. The second will be a nutrition presentation, "Obesity Prevention," at 1:00 p.m.
Staffed by School of Public Health professors and students, the Health Expo offers a series of screenings and evaluations, including health and age, blood pressure, PO2 assessment, respiratory peak flow, body fat percentage, metabolic rate, body water content, hand grip strength, stress assessment, and some free healthy refreshments. The event is organized by the Drayson Center Office of Preventive Care and the School of Public Health.
The nutrition presentation, "Obesity Prevention," will feature master's students in nutrition, who will speak about preventing and managing obesity, as well as providing exercise and nutrition tips that can be applied to one's life. In addition, the presentation will include a drawing.
